I can't believe it's already summer, and we're almost done with June!  There's always something nice about planning your wardrobe for the summer, everything is just so much more easy and fun to pick out. I do sometimes like to stay with a lot of basics as necessities for my wardrobe, it's always nice to have a special item that will take you through the season! Now though, I just so happen to have five different ones that are my must-haves for this summer, and I hope you enjoy!

1. ASOS Curve Maxi Dress in Floral Print : The maxi dress has been incorporated into my daily style ever since 2012, and I haven't looked back since. It's my favorite item on this list, as it is so much fun to wear and there are so many variety of options! This dress from ASOS Curve is beyond gorgeous, and I love the color combo of black and richer shades of pink.

2. Amour Graphic Tee : Say what you mean, mean what you say! There's no better way to do that with a graphic tee, especially when it's something as romantic as 'Amour'. I've talked about graphic tees being a necessity for any wardrobe before, and that is why it's number two on my list for summer! You can dress it up or you can dress it down, either way you're sure to be comfortable no matter what.
3. Classic Black Leather Satchel : As anyone knows, handbags are my thing. People may be obsessed with shoes, but I'm head over heels (PUN INTENDED) for handbags. Whether they are shoulder bags, clutches, a messenger bag or even a tote, I will fall in love them no matter what. I have probably 20+ of a variety of these, but this one from Cambridge Satchel is my new favorite. It's not only a must-have for summer, but for all year round.

4. GabiFresh D/DD Cup Black Underwire Mid-Waist Bikini : While I may not be swimming any time soon this summer, I've been lusting over the Gabi Fresh collection for Swimsuits for All ever since the preview images came out. I mean, how flattering and sexy are these swimsuits?! I don't know if I'd ever be able to rock one, but this gorgeous black two-piece is something I want to try.

5. Studio Sweetheart Neckline Jumpsuit : A jumpsuit?! On my must-have list? What is this revelation I'm having?! It's literally only because I'm in love with the silhouette of this one from Eloquii, and how flattering it must be on any body type. I love the easiness of what this jumpsuit must feel like and if there's ever a time to take a risk, it's during the summer! You never know what could happen.

Today has marked a week of being twenty-six years old, and while that's not anything too special I thought today's Fashion Friday post would be the perfect time to share photos from last Friday! It's so nice how I came about the dress I found for my birthday, I was literally looking the day of for something special to wear when the time came to go out. I happened upon this really great dress from Forever21+ and I'm so obsessed with it. It's not something I would normally stop and actually commit to purchasing, but it was a blessing in disguise that I was on the hunt for something quickly. The color and print are so great, and I feel absolutely sexy in it. That is SO RARE for me, and I love it.
Being able to feel sexy on your birthday is pretty important, and I enjoyed owning it the entire night. Betty Danger's Club was so much fun, even though we had to wait almost two hours to actually eat, but I'm so grateful for the friends that were able to make it. We had some insanely spicy food, tasted some good alcohol and rode the Ferris Wheel while the sun was setting. So lucky that it was such a beautiful night and I could definitely use more of like them in the future. It was all in all, just a good birthday that was very appropriate for the age I turned into.

Today's Style Icon posts coincides perfectly with my Woman Crush Wednesday idea that I will be putting up on Instagram later today! The first time I heard of (or saw) Hayley Atwell was when she starred in the movie adaptation of 'Brideshead Revisited' with Matthew Goode, and then right afterwards was in the movie adaptation of 'The Duchess' with Keira Knightley! What a coincidence that she would star in two movies back-to-back with two of my favorite British actors?! This then turned into her being apart of one of the biggest movie franchises in the world, and it's all been love ever since. I seriously adore her, she is such a gem as Peggy Carter. I was waiting in severe anticipation for Agent Carter to be renewed, and I happily screamed when it was! Also, her Twitter is pure gold and I highly recommend you follow her!

Not only do I love her acting work, but her style has been something that has captured my eye along the way as well. She knows how to rock the red carpet down to a T, but she also REALLY knows how to do a casual look! You can tell she is aware of her body type, and has impeccable taste when it comes to dressing it. I've listed my six favorite looks of hers above that she's done over the years, it's fun to see we have similar tastes too. I can't wait to see what she plans to wear in the future!

Happy Monday! Today's post is all about the gorgeous combination of Valentino Pre-Fall 2015 & the artwork of the Bukowskis. I'm not entirely sure how I missed this when it first appeared online, but I am shaking my head that I did! How gorgeous are these pairings together? The motifs of the clothing are matched so well with the paintings in the background, that it looks as if the model was painted on themselves. Miss Moss did such a great job of sticking with the theme of the collection, that I must give her a big round of applause. I would not mind having one of these as a painting to hang in my room, they're just that good.

Have any of you ever read or seen the movie adaptation of 'The Secret Garden'? It brings out the dream-like quality of a tucked away dark garden filled with mysteries. It's so special, it can be only be found by someone who inherits something worthy of its presence. A moody atmosphere that is inhabited by statues, different species of animals and flowers that are so beautiful but also deadly. This is the inspiration for my post today, I guess darker floral patterns match my mood most of the time. It can also be insanely gorgeous and inspires a bit of a more romantic side. Strip away the bright pastels and have it be a little more sophisticated.

It's here again! That time of year where I get to celebrate me, a time to celebrate being a year older and (maybe) wiser to experiences that happen around my world. Twenty-six isn't particularly an exciting age to be giddy about, but I guess I'm just glad to be here. I won't reflect that much about what I'm looking forward to in this upcoming year, but I am hoping there will be some big changes. Who knows, maybe I'll get a new job and be able to finally move out of the house and into my own place. I definitely feel this age will have me hustling a little harder, wishing a little bit more and being able to let things roll of my shoulders better. I'm already halfway there, to be honest with you.

Anyways, I'm planning a small dinner at a local dive joint called Betty Danger's Country Club located in NE Minneapolis! It's so aesthetically pleasing, that I cannot believe I've never heard of it before. They have a carousel located in their backyard, and mini-golf while you're waiting. It's going to be a fun night, and after dinner I'm hoping to head to a local bar and enjoy the rest of my birthday with family and friends. Again, letting everything be chill this year and go with the flow. I'll be sure to share how everything goes on Instagram and Facebook, so I hope you can follow along with me!

I am such a visual person, as anyone can tell you, and so when I found this little gem of an artist a few years back I had to finally share the beauty of her talent! Janet Hill is an Canadian artist that has been featured in several different private collections through North America and Europe. I first found out about her through an Etsy listing that popped up in my 'Recommended For You' section and I've been hooked ever since. Her skills of artistry include; still- life, scenery, interiors and people that are one-of-a-kind! I'm also particularly in love with the style of oil paintings that she does, it's so much fun and evokes feeling and a sense of nostalgia. The vivid colors and charming characters are something to behold, and I highly recommend checking out her website that features past works and a fantastic blog! It also includes two different stores that she has personally written and provided artwork for, her most recent one is 'Lucy Crisp and the Vanishing House.' It's a blast, and I hope you can enjoy it as much as I do. Shop all of her works in the links provided above and have a happy weekend!

Happy June, and happy Tuesday! I'm so excited it's finally my birthday month, and I am full of ideas to be inspired with. I'm currently typing at my new desk, and it feels so right to finally be in a new space to come up with new content for June. For today's post, I'm feeling the nautical theme that always pops up during this month and lasts for the rest of spring/summer. This year though, it's all about setting sail and hitting the wide open sea. Taking your dreams and thoughts with you as the water drifts you away to uncharted destinations.

1 : You can't really think of nautical, without a classic striped tee in navy and white. I'm thoroughly in love with this Saint James® for J.Crew slouchy tee, especially after reading the description of what it is on the site. Saint James is based out of Normandy and has made the sailor stripe tee a staple of their production with clients such as Andy Warhol & Coco Chanel! Impressive!
2 : I could pass up this gorgeous eye shadow from Stila, especially when it's called 'Light Show!' The colors in just this one pigment are so pretty, and made me think of a combo of water and land.
3 : This new perfume from Oscar de la Renta, called 'Something Blue', has been on my radar for awhile. With a burst of mandarin and linden blossom, it's sure to keep you afloat while you find your sea legs.
4 : Gingham & yellow from Coach? There's nothing better! I'm loving the vintage-feel from this suit also, and the silhouette is perfect!
5 : There has to be an appreciation for a great pair of sandals, and these ones from Unique Vintage are just the ones for me. Again, these vintage-inspired sandals are a great way to kick back on the boat and let your toes feel the fresh air.
6 : This octopus from ModCloth is your friend, not your enemy while cruising the sea!
7 : Who doesn't volume and texture while they are at sea? This Sea Mist from Pigment just sounds heavenly with aloe vera, purified water and sea salt for your hair.
8 : I had to include Lush Cosmetics in this post, because I personally instantly think of them when it comes to water and being clean. This salt cleanser is just the ticket once you get back on land, it'll be like you never left the water!
