I don't know if any of you have heard of the website, Design Love Fest, but Bri is an absolutely amazing editor and has an eye for artistic creativity. She does a really fantastic series called, 'Dress Your Tech,' where she shares bunch of free desktop wallpapers with designs from up and coming graphic designers. They are high resolution, that feature great colors, prints and sayings. It's hard not to feel inspired after looking through all of them, so that is what brings me to today's post! I love being inspired by visuals, and I've found my own five desktop wallpapers to keep the creativity flowing. This comes at even perfect time since August is coming up next week, and it's always nice to switch up what inspires you every month. I've put the links to download below each picture, and hope you can check out each artist/website that was featured. I'm thinking the mermaid wallpaper is going to make August extra magical for me. What's on your wallpaper? Let me know in the comments below!
1. Allie Newman Mermaids (ban.do)
2. Looking Fresh As A Daisy (kate spade new york)
3. Pineapple desktop (hellolovelyliving)
4. Push Print Studio (designlovefest)
5. Beauty Begins (wearekemy)

If any of you have been wondering where I've been for the past week or so, well have no worry, I was out camping! Yes, four days of absolute relaxation. Let me tell you, being able to have no work to do or any cares was such a blast. We got to lay in the sun, feel the breeze on our skin, eat some delicious food and drink with good people. It was the most relaxed I've been in awhile and I'm so bummed that it's over with. The itch to go back out camping is already in full effect, so I'm really hoping that I can do it again this fall or next summer. I like how you pay tons of money to go and essentially live like a bum for a few days, but it's definitely a little more glamorous. So since I'm in a really relaxed mood right now, I figured I'd make a camping/summer playlist to get us through the rest of July & August. This mix is going to be more laid back, with haunting melodies and soothing voices. I'd totally listen to this while watching the sun set, sitting by the fire with friends and a tasty drink in hand. Enjoy, and make sure to follow me on Spotify for more playlists!

There is nothing that screams 'SUMMER!' more than footwear where you can bare your toes and feel the sun on your feet. Sandals are one of the most practical things to wear during this season, and I definitely consider them a summer staple + essential. I love that they have become such a piece of artwork as well, I mean these embellished sandals alone are worthy of being in a gallery! Sandals are so easy to wear, and come in so many varieties of colors and textures. Today, I thought I would share ten chic sandals that I've come across while on the hunt for a pair of my own. They will have people staring at your feet, not at your face while you're walking by. P.S. They're ALL budget friendly too.

1. iridescent slides, ban.do: $25
2. Sandals | Blue, H&M: $35
3. Hammpton Rose Gold Sandal, Steve Madden: $80
5. The Thea Crisscross Sandal, Madewell: $98
7. Shineon Open Toe Sandals, NineWest: $89
9. Ingrid Slide Sandal, French Connection: $50
Trends for sandals this spring and summer have been a lot of fun! One of my favorites for this year is the block heel sandal, as it is such a great way to dress up any outfit but your feet won't be dying while you're wearing them. For colors, I've noticed there are a lot of neutrals, iridescent shades and metallics. For shapes, I've noticed that slip-ons, mules, slides, fringe and lace-ups are the go-to trends. There's just so much to choose from!
What are your favorite sandal trends this summer?

Another post that should have gone out last week, but was too lazy to put together until last night. This box of goodies has been waiting to be reviewed since it first arrived on my doorstep, and I'm more than happy to give my honest feedback on each product I received. As Influenster states, I received these products complimentary for testing purposes. You've all seen me review these boxes before, so I was really excited once I found out I was picked for this campaign. I mean, who doesn't want a VoxBox that's called 'Goddess'? If you want to see what I was sent, and my honest review of each item, read on below!
Price: $4.30-$6.40
With a soft, seamless, flexible design to move with you and a light, clean scent so you can feel fresh.
Pros: Hardly ever leaks, has cute packaging, the scent is not overwhelming and makes you feel fresh for up to 10 hours.
Cons: Leaves a stain sometimes on underwear, if you happen to sweat in that area a lot.
Rating: 4/5

Price: $6.99
Dickinson’s Enhanced Witch Hazel Hydrating Toner gently hydrates and nourishes skin with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E as it cleanses, tones and refreshes skin.
Pros: A great way to feel refreshed after a long day of foundation, a small amount can go a long way and it made my skin super soft.
Cons: Not a very pleasant smell, so you definitely want to use a little amount. I don't know if I'll be able to use this entire bottle..
Rating: 3/5

Price: $5.49 (for 9.7 oz. Size)
Finally, deodorant for your clothes! Downy Fresh Protect April Fresh In-Wash Odor Shield keeps you smelling great all over. Motion-activated fresheners neutralize bad odors with with a fresh scent as as you move through your day.
Pros: So I've used this once, and I can already tell the difference in the way my clothes feel. My underwear smells refreshed and renewed, and extremely soft. I also used some with my sheets, and I cannot wait to sleep on them. The scent is not overwhelming either!
Cons: Haven't gotten to the point where there might be a con, so let's hope it stays that way.
Rating: 4/5

Price: $4.99
Ultra nourishing lather instantly wraps each strand, gently cleansing with intense hydrated feel.
Pros: I'm always on the hunt for a shampoo & conditioner combo that will leave my hair hydrated and this was a pleasant surprise. After using a shampoo again and again that I had received in a previous VoxBox, I will not be surprised if the same thing happens with this version. It left my hair smooth and silky and received several compliments after a wash.
Cons: The conditioner was a little heavy, and I had to make sure my hair was super dry so it didn't leave wet patches on the top of my head.
Rating: 4/5

Price: $1.49-$3.99
Cutex’s Advanced Revival Nail Polish Remover Pads are the quickest, most effective option for removing nail polish, as well as conditioning nails and cuticles in one step. This patent-pending formula, combines the power of acetone with the strengthening and nourishing of natural drying oils.
Pros: I will literally love anything that comes in a better version of it's previous self, and so I loved receiving these remover pads for nail polish! It makes removal so much easier and it truly was easy to remove the nail polish from all 10 fingers and toes. If you're on the go, just pop these into your purse and your set.
Cons: Smell is a little overwhelming, but you can easily throw them away and it's gone.
Rating: 5/5

Price: $1.99-$2.99
Sugary Melon Bold, Vibrant, Must-Have Color. Toluene, Formaldehyde & DBP Free. Made in the USA.
Pros: Dries super quickly, vibrant and true to color of bottle. Easy to remove if you make a mistake.
Cons: Dries a little TOO quickly, if you know what I mean. You also need to do two coats to get the vibrancy of the color.
Rating: 4/5

Again, I received all of these products complimentary for testing purposes, and all opinions are my own. You then participate in campaigns to earn badges and snaps, so you can participate in future testing programs. If you want to sign up yourself, let me know and I can give you a referral!

I have been severely slacking when it comes to putting this post together. Maybe it's just been from the holiday, how crazy things have been in the world in the past two days or it's just me being really lazy. Either way, I'm FINALLY putting it together! WAHOO! There's been no real direction from myself on what I wanted to talk about in this, besides it being apart of the My Style File series. I just really loved finding this dress at Old Navy, and instantly had a clear vision of how I wanted to style it. The vision? Trying to channel Alexa Chung on a budget, at a store I constantly shop at and where it would be super comfortable to wear. I like the idea of wearing a striped shirt underneath a dress, it reminds me of Audrey Hepburn a little bit as well.
Besides the anxiousness of finally getting this post up, nothing else in my life is making me stressed. It's been a pretty relaxing summer, and I've been able to find some really fun things to add to my wardrobe. I've also had the time to plan what I'm going to buy for next week! I'm actually going camping for the first time, like I said in my previous post and I'm so excited to finally going a mini vacation with some good friends of mine. They go almost every year, and I decided it was time that I finally joined in on the fun. We're going to go swimming, relax in the sun, enjoy some festivities, eat some s'mores and so much more. I'm actually thinking of not bringing ANY crazy outfits or makeup for the 3 1/2 days, just to really immerse myself in the relaxation. I'll believe that when I see it... Let's just say I will not be wearing anything like this when we go.
This dress/shirt combo is something I've seen on so many people, but never thought to really try it myself. When I came across the Button Down Waisted Midi Dress at Old Navy, I instantly had to purchase it because of the fit and length. It lays right under my knees, which is nice because I'm not a huge fan of my legs. I already had the striped tunic tee (similar) in my wardrobe, which completed the entire vision I had in my head. Since I wore this on Fourth of July, I had to add a little sparkle to the outfit, and what better way than with a purse?! I found this Sparkle Star Clutch at Torrid while it was on sale for like $10, so SCORE for me but not so much for you since it's out of stock. To make the whole outfit more casual, I just popped on a pair of white slip-ons from Target and everything was complete.
What did you do over your holiday weekend?

Happy Monday + Fourth of July! I decided to do a fun edition of my Monday Link-Up series and feature a variety of drinks + recipes that are all Independence Day-themed, to get you into an absolutely patriotic mood. Nothing says 'Merica, than celebrating each holiday with drinks centered around them. I am SO in the mood to try this White Sangria, made by Festivities Catering!
  • I am all about sweet when it comes to alcohol, so this Fireworks Pina Colada from Home Sweet Jones looks like it would hit just the spot!
  • Shots, shots, shots! Spiked Jell-o Shots, easy and simple to make, plus absolutely adorable.
  • They say that if you make this drink for guests, you'll have to make several pitchers because it is that good! Sign me up, Blueberry Strawberry Mojito by Well Plated
  • A Frozen Boozy Bomp Pop? 3 different types of vodka, lime juice, sugar and water. WOW!
  • I found this drink through Pinterest, and thought it was so adorable! The hint of coconut on the rim of the glass just ties everything in together. It's called a Blueberry Coconut Sparkler, and you'll for sure be sparkling if you have more than one of them.
  • This drink from Tasty Trials mixes watermelon and blueberry vodka in a delicious combination! The Watermelon-Blueberry Cooler is super simple, but very refreshing.
  • For those of you who do not drink, or just don't want to have every drink contain alcohol, this Patriotic Punch is just the ticket. Blogger, Between Naps on the Porch, came up with this tasty drink that features cranberry juice, a blue sports drink and 7-Up!
  • For something extra kid-friendly, this layered drink by The Sisters Cafe, will be fun to make with the kiddos while you're waiting for the food to be cooked.
  • I love the inspiration behind this Drink & Dish drink, they were motivated by their favorite fireworks they see every year, and the decorations included. Best part? The rim of the class is covered pop rocks, so you'll have an extra magical celebration.
What are your plans for the Fourth? Have any favorite themed drinks? Let me know, and be safe tonight!
