So I've been currently obsessing over Chloe's Spring/Summer 2013 collection. The pastel hues, rompers, knee length dresses are getting me through the end of Winter. Yes, I know it's officially Spring, but here in Minnesota we've decided to keep the cold weather and the piles and piles of snow. these rompers and pastel hues are getting me through the tail end of Winter. This line was such a perfect assorment of what feminine and ladylike can and should be. Since I was looking for some Spring 2013 trends, I found this great snippet in
Glamour's March 2013 edition, and it's all about ruffles. Little did I know when researching that it was one of the top trends seen down the runway for this season. This collection was perfect for this this! I love ruffle accents for many reasons: they're simple and add such a unique twist to any piece. I also noticed that designers have been taking a more modern twist to the ruffle, making them look stiff and austere. So what is the best thing about wearing them? They really are their own personal accessory, no there's need to add any over-the-top jewelry, the ruffle just speaks for itself. So here's just a few more affordable ideas to add this easy accessory into your wardrobe!

I've grown to become fond of them as I've gotten older. They can be really romantic. But I really just like them in subtle ways. :D

I'm definitely a fan of subtle ruffles. Not so much all the poofyness.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm not a huge lover of all the poofyness. I think what was in the Chloe collection was perfect though. Reminded me of a modern take on something Marie Antoinette might have worn.

I am really digging bows also, and I like that you can wear them with practically anything! Wish my hair was long enough to wear them with a braid. Ugh, I know! Wish the snow and coldness would seriously leave already.

loving the flirty and fun nature of ruffles. It's a fun detail to incorporate...especially now that we're getting warmer temperatures!

I love it too! I love that it can be its own accessory, you don't have to add too much and it looks great on its own. I really hope we can get some warmer weather here in Minnesota, haha. :D
