A Beach Getaway

The Bahamas. Perfect weather. The sand in your toes. The sun basking on your skin. Doesn't this sound delicious? I dream about sipping on fruity margaritas, while sitting in the bluest of waters, and reading a good book.

I enjoy looking at Net-A-Porter and drooling over all of their fabulous pieces of clothings and accessories. Knowing I will most likely never be able to afford things from Lanvin or Ralph Lauren, I just like to fantasize what it would be like to dress like someone rich. Maybe someday..

I know it's not even Fall yet, but I just stumbled upon this amazing line from Gorman for Winter. I am just plain in love with it. The color choices, the prints, and the accessories all make for a perfect outfit during the cold Winter. Love the layors that are chosen, especially the socks that go over the tights. Remember Claudia from The Baby-Sitters Club? I can picture her wearing this entire collection.

I found with these four designers, each line was lighter and was more modern then their previous Couture shows. Fairy princess dresses in Elie Saab, pleated tulle in Valentino, a pop of red in Giambattista Valli, and purity in Givenchy. Each collection was made with a precision you could only expect from these type of designers.

The 1940s, what an era. Fashion, music, romance, movies, war, industry it all happened during this time and I think that's the reason why it was such an incredible time in history. I often look back at it in regards to the fashion and music, and how it inspired so many people today. You can look at runway shows and see dresses and hairstyles, you can hear music that musicians listen to today. I wonder what it would have been like, but I guess I can try to live through it in things today.

Sadly I am not going to New York on my Summer break. But some recent turn of events has me going to Phoenix, Arizona. So here is another wishlist. It's going to be super hot, so I figure bright colors (to keep the sun off) and tribal prints would be a perfect wardrobe to wear for 3 days.

I am really in love with the new Ruche Lookbook for Summer. The photography is spectacular and the colors are so gorgeous. They have a certain way of displaying the clothing and making it really feel inspirational. Plus, the text they have used this time is really perfect.

Have you ever looked back at vacation photos and thought 'What the hell was I wearing?' Well I do that a lot, but since I'm going to New York in July, I want to make sure I'm prepared. I'll only be there for four days, but I figure I might as well have choices. Bright colors and being comfortable is what I'm aiming for this time, so here are a few choices. I guess we'll see what happens.
