The festivities have begun! The fifth annual Mostly Lisa Gift Guide series is underway and I am so excited to be coming back this year, especially because I was unsure if I would have any motivation to do a week long series again. My life now consists of going to work, doing a tiny of exercise, eating and then going to bed. It's crazy how much the last few months have turned everything around and life is solely focused on work. In the end, I realized I had to put in the time and effort to do this, it is the best series I do on this blog and I love spreading some happiness during what can be a difficult time of year for some people. So know this: I am doing this out of the love in my heart for each and every one of you that reads this blog and shares it with their friends. I am beyond grateful that I can actually do this every year, and to have the support of the people around me and people with whom I have never met before! That's what this season is all about, right?!

In the tradition of this Gift Guide series, on the first day I give to you a guide for the easiest person to shop for during this holiday season - women. I mean, why is it SO easy? I mean, I could probably go to each shopping website and find something to put on this list. Let's be honest, it is more than likely because I'm secretly also shopping for myself, however, I am trying to think outside of the box of my personal tastes and provide you all with a wide variety of gifts that the ladies in your life would enjoy. Whether she enjoys artwork, beauty, fashion, jewelry - this guide is just the ticket. See you tomorrow for the hardest person to shop for - men.

"I had a little hen, the prettiest ever seen, she washed me the dishes, and kept the house clean. She went to the mill to fetch me some flour, she brought it home in less than an hour. She baked me my bread, she brew'd me my ale, she sat by the fire and told many a fine tale."

OUTFIT: Necklace: Old Navy | Cardigan: Target | Dress: Gap | Flats: Gap | Purse: Kate Spade New York

Happy Friday ladies! Today's Fashion Friday comes to you from two different places in the Twin Cities that I explored this week with my BFF! First up, we went to this adorable new cakery and kitchen called The Copper Hen located in Minneapolis! Their whole décor is just so adorable, they have exposed walls with bits and pieces of this lovely wallpaper painted on more pronounced places. I'm all about toile wallpaper and this print is just the ticket. The food is delicious, you can tell it's all homemade and fresh when you order. They even have gluten-free and vegetarian options! Then we headed over to Lake Harriet, which is also in Minneapolis, and took a stroll down the long and winding paths that go around the entire lake. I may have been a bit over dressed but, who cares?! I love this dress that I found on a super sale at Gap several weeks ago, it's just perfectly me. With tropical leaves and flowers, it comes in a gorgeous green and blue combo. I have to say I've NEVER received more compliments on wearing something than I do when I wear this dress. It makes me feel so good, that I just want to keep wearing it. I like pairing it with a shorter cardigan, one of my favorite necklaces from Old Navy, and then a nice pair of flats. Can you believe it though?! I actually wore something that shows leg! I was so proud of myself, haha. I'm definitely now a huge fan of the fit and flare dresses, as I think it's more flattering for my body type and I feel so comfortable in it. What do you guys think?!

Have a great weekend!

I'm always on the hunt for a good bargain, who isn't though? You don't have to spend a lot to get a good quality product sometimes, but it's all about how you approach finding that particular item. I'm literally on sites everyday making wish lists here and there for items that catch my eye, and I'm always thinking about what I can afford and what is necessary for me. While the latter is usually not the case for me when I do go shopping, I kind-of binge shop sometimes, it's always nice to be thinking ahead of time for when you can make a unique purchase that will last a long time. I do like to use my discounts I receive from work, and am always trying to boost business at the company in doing so. I have rounded up ten finds that are all under $50, wahoo! It's just a mix bag of anything and everything that has caught my eye lately. And really, what hasn't caught my eye lately? Enjoy!

Always,
Mostly Lisa
