I'm always on the hunt for interesting and unique finds to shop for, and so Etsy is a great place to find inspiration for items that you won't find anywhere else. Spent about three hours yesterday just searching and refreshing the site to find things that would make my list for today. I've rounded up 8 lovely picks that are just so perfect and have been 'starred' for future reference! My absolute favorite has to be that scarf with the beautiful words of Jane Austen, and then the Tattooed Lady Print by The Black Apple! What do you guys think? Any shops on Etsy that are your favorites?

It's pretty impossible to not find this great staple in anyone's wardrobe, whether you're a woman or a man, because it's something that is so simple and so affordable. The basic tee is the third item on my Summer Staple List because it is something that can literally be paired with anything! You can rock it down with a pair of great denim, or you can dress it up with a statement maxi skirt or pant. While I've focused on the neutral white tee, you can mix it up and go bold with fun colors or prints. Not only does this come in at any price point but it can also come in different fabric, my favorite has to definitely be a plain cotton tee though. Just feel comfortable knowing it will look great on you no matter what, and you can easily transition it into any season!

Another week bites the dust. While the beginning of it was very relaxing for me, I was able to have three days off of work, the end of my week has been pretty crazy.  I guess I can bring this up on here.... after about a month-and-a-half of working at my current job, I've now received a promotion! It's going to be my first position as a part-time key holder, and I'm beyond excited. It's the first time I've had a real leader role, and I'm proud of myself that I've been able to show my talent and ability in such a short amount of time. I was extremely anxious that movement within the company would be relatively slow, but if this can happen after so short a period? I'm truly hoping that I can get into Corporate before the end of the year! This is what I've wanted since I graduated from college, and this has shown to me that I have the skills and mindset to get to where I want to be. Cross your fingers for me that I can move even quicker after this!! Hopefully will start training beginning next week and see what happens, but it should be a lot of fun and I'm intrigued to learn more. This weekend though, I will be working and hanging out. I wanted to share with you though, some links that have caught my eye over this past week and that will make the weekend extra exciting. Enjoy!
  • If any of you know me you'll know I'm a huge fan of Jane Austen, so Emma Approved is just a great addition to the expansion of fan-dedicated works. It's a modern take on 'Emma' and stars a wonderful cast full of up and comers! The latest edition to the series, Boxx Hill, was probably the most well acted episode of the series. I'm so ready for next week, if it's coming back since it was left on a cliffhanger...It better be!
  • My guest post on Sarah Edwards has me sharing some of my favorite hats for summer! You've got to protect yourself with the sun blazing on your skin.
  • I NEED this dress from ASOS, plus it's on sale. That hem is just so perfection.
  • These behind-the-scenes photos of Chanel's recent set designs are gorgeous.
  • A tasty recipe from Coco + Kelly to try this weekend, and I like the name of the drink! The Ruby Rouser...
  • D.I.Y.: Fruit Macaroons by Sugar & Cloth!
  • I'm selling some items on my Instagram, make sure to go check it out! They're all plus size, super cute and very affordable.
  • Another reason to be in New York, the New York Historical Society is hosting the 75th Anniversary of Madeline being published. This exhibit is showing the artwork of Ludwig Bemelmans. So beautiful.
  • Beach Life must be so hard, Paris in Four Months..... Those photos though!
  • A good listen: Andrew Solomon: Depression, the Secret we Share.
  • Have...to...see...this....movie!

A little laid back post today, since this week has been very tiring. Sharing some of my favorite prints that I've found through Society6, and these are just the tip of the iceberg. I recently upgraded my iPhone to the 5c, and so I'm now on the hunt for the perfect case/shell. I'm now eyeing that P&P toile print that can easily be changed into the iPhone format. There are literal stars in my eyes, it's just so pretty!!! Why does it have to be $35 though? The struggleeeeeee.

My July Playlist is kind-of like a story.. and it's running true to how this month has been going so far. We start out with three songs that have been my 'summer jams' and they really got me energized and ready for the month. Then we transition into some more melancholy and romantic tunes that have been at the forefront of how I've felt for the last couple weeks. These songs mean a lot and really encompass what this summer has been like for me. Whether I'm driving around late at night, feeling the breeze blow through my window or sleeping in until noon on the weekend, these songs are pretty special. The ending of my musical story is what I envision the end of July will be like, and let's hope that it'll be happy ending. Can't wait to see what August will bring in regards to music, new and old. Click through to listen, and follow me on Spotify!

After seeing the collection that Elie Saab presented for Fall 2014 Couture, I had to feature this amazing designer in my Designer Spotlight series! If you know me well, you'll understand my intense love for this designer and all the amazing collections that he has put together. He became an overnight sensation when he dressed Halle Berry for the 2002 Academy Awards. Since then he's dressed royalty from around the world and several various national and international celebrities. He's part of an elite class of designers and is one of my personal highlights for every fashion season. So it's no surprise that he's at the top of my list every single time he shows a dress down the runway. Every silhouette is super feminine, embellishments are beyond stunning and particular and every color blends perfectly into the next one. If I ever become famous, it'd be a dream to just attend a show. :)

How are we in the third week of July already? While I wish this month was all about vacationing with friends and family for me, it's sadly just another month filled with days blending into one another when working. There is an upside though, it's gorgeous outside and there are still plenty of things to do and see on these endless nights of summer. These things above are some of the things that have caught my eye already this month, I'm constantly being inspired with my Tumblr as a daily source of content. What's inspiring you this month?!

"I had a little hen, the prettiest ever seen, she washed me the dishes, and kept the house clean. She went to the mill to fetch me some flour, she brought it home in less than an hour. She baked me my bread, she brew'd me my ale, she sat by the fire and told many a fine tale."

OUTFIT: Necklace: Old Navy | Cardigan: Target | Dress: Gap | Flats: Gap | Purse: Kate Spade New York

Happy Friday ladies! Today's Fashion Friday comes to you from two different places in the Twin Cities that I explored this week with my BFF! First up, we went to this adorable new cakery and kitchen called The Copper Hen located in Minneapolis! Their whole décor is just so adorable, they have exposed walls with bits and pieces of this lovely wallpaper painted on more pronounced places. I'm all about toile wallpaper and this print is just the ticket. The food is delicious, you can tell it's all homemade and fresh when you order. They even have gluten-free and vegetarian options! Then we headed over to Lake Harriet, which is also in Minneapolis, and took a stroll down the long and winding paths that go around the entire lake. I may have been a bit over dressed but, who cares?! I love this dress that I found on a super sale at Gap several weeks ago, it's just perfectly me. With tropical leaves and flowers, it comes in a gorgeous green and blue combo. I have to say I've NEVER received more compliments on wearing something than I do when I wear this dress. It makes me feel so good, that I just want to keep wearing it. I like pairing it with a shorter cardigan, one of my favorite necklaces from Old Navy, and then a nice pair of flats. Can you believe it though?! I actually wore something that shows leg! I was so proud of myself, haha. I'm definitely now a huge fan of the fit and flare dresses, as I think it's more flattering for my body type and I feel so comfortable in it. What do you guys think?!

Have a great weekend!

I believe there's always time to throw on a easy blazer that is fun and flattering. For this summer, I've found myself wanting to pop one on that has a interesting print or cut. It's nice to layer with lighter pieces underneath it, so you're not too warm underneath the sun. Here are five blazers I would absolutely love to add to my collection. My absolute favorite has to be the Stretch Blazer from Scotch & Soda that has a botanical print lining. It's perfect for summer! What are your favorite go-to summer jackets? Have any favorite colors?

It's been about a year or so since I posted a collection of anything from my Instagram that was completely just about my life. I thought I'd take the time to put together some of my favorite posts I've done on and some of the major moments that have happened since January. Hope you're all following me on there, and if you're not make sure to follow piccadillytown.

January through February was a good start to the new year. I revamped Mostly Lisa with a new template right on January 1st, and it's been pretty successful if I do say so myself. I received my diploma from college, FINALLY, in February and was very proud of myself. ModCloth had a lovely contest they hosted through their Instagram, where you participated in a #modweekoflove and each day was a different love-related photo challenge. Was particularly feeling the love with my favorite Fashion Friday post, "I Am My Own Valentine."

March through April were cold and very lively months. Minnesota weather was very discouraging through these two months, at first we thought we were finally getting spring but then more snow would come and temperatures would drop. For an entire weekend, which seemed like the coldest one we had, our furnace broke down and we resorted to having to wear tons of different layers while just walking around and sleep in one bedroom with the portable heater. I'll just let you know, that was the worst weekend I've had in a long time. No sleep was had during that time, for anyone. A sweeter note happened in April, when I received a lovely Easter basket swap full of amazing gifts. It was so nice to come home from work and find that sitting in the door. Tons of flowers were bought during the month, and I was consistently inspired by Erisha from A Thing Created. xoxoxo

May through June are usually my favorite months, as they are pack filled with birthdays, blockbusters and other various events. May had the celebrations of my sister and oldest nephew being born, and so it was fun looking back older pictures and newer ones. Zachary looked so good in his 'Future Superhero' shirt I bought him from Gap! I also got to spend time with my favorite BFF Nicole, and we spent some quality time eating pizza and enjoying the weather. Then my mom and sister granted my biggest birthday wish by purchasing my first Kate Spade bag! I got it as an early birthday present and was from then on insanely spoiled before my birthday. June transitioned very nicely with some gorgeous weather, a perfect 25th birthday party, and spending time with friends and family. This leads to where we are now, and I hope the rest of this year will be just as nice.

While I know everyone is talking about this print, I just can't get enough of it. It's taken over my print inspiration lately, and rightfully so since it's a perfect reminder of spring and summer! I think it's an adorable look, in moderation and can be achieved so easily. It reminds me of a tropical vacation and you can never wrong with daydreaming of laying in the sun and eating one of these healthy fruits. It's pretty much a symbol of warmth and happiness, and you can't go wrong with something like that.
