10 MOVIES THAT MAKE MY HALLOWEEN

ONE: Ginger Snaps (2000)
Sam: Biology, now there's something you can sink your teeth into, so to speak. You're real. Your problem is real. The solution is real.

TWO: Halloweentown (1998)
Aggie Cromwell: Being normal is vastly overrated.

THREE: The Haunting (1963)
Theodora: Haven't you noticed how nothing in this house seems to move until you look away and then you just... catch something out of the corner of your eye?

FOUR: Hocus Pocus (1993)
Winifred Sanderson: Sisters, All Hallow's Eve has become a night of frolic, where children wear costumes and run amok!

FIVE: Sleepy Hollow (1999)
Lady Van Tassel: Watch your heads.

SIX: Casper (1995)
Amelia Harvey: James, I know you have been searching for me, but there's something you must understand. You and Kat loved me so well when I was alive that I have no unfinished business, please don't let me be yours.

SEVEN: Paranormal Activity (2009)
Katie: I feel it. I feel it breathing on me.

EIGHT: Beetlejuice (1988)
Beetlejuice: Ah. Well... I attended Juilliard... I'm a graduate of the Harvard business school. I travel quite extensively. I lived through the Black Plague and had a pretty good time during that. I've seen the EXORCIST ABOUT A HUNDRED AND SIXTY-SEVEN TIMES, AND IT KEEPS GETTING FUNNIER EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEE IT... NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT YOU'RE TALKING TO A DEAD GUY... NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK? You think I'm qualified?

NINE: Under Wraps (1997)
Amy: Must be my new conditioner. It attracts dead guys.

TEN: The Others (2001)
Mrs. Mills: Sometimes the world of the living gets mixed up with the world of the dead.

In honor of Halloween happening this Friday (!)....I decided to do something a little different for today's post. I'm a huge sucker for a good comedy, thriller, mystery or suspense film and this time of year for cinema is just the perfect mix of all of these. The storytelling in any of these movies has to be interesting and compelling for the viewer, and I think most of these hit on some type of emotion or trigger some type of response after watching them. Nostalgia is a big feeling I get with almost half of these, while others are just excitement after being scared. I like being shocked after a huge reveal, so Paranormal Activity & The Others are just the ticket.

If you're a 90s kid, like me, you'll obviously enjoy those Disney movies that aired on the big screen (Hocus Pocus, Casper) and the ones that showed on a Friday night (Under Wraps, Halloweentown)  and were 'Original's' at the time. My all-time favorite movie to watch during this time of year is Ginger Snaps. It's just the perfect amount of teenage angst, shtick, gore, fitting into the Indie genre and NSFW-language. I don't even remember the first time I watched this movie, but I was instantly hooked. I guess you could say I was 'bitten'.... ;)

Make sure to click each number and watch the trailers for each movie! Let me know which one you want to watch this Halloween, or any others that pique your interest.

OCTOBER INSPIRATION

(PHOTOS VIA: Unveiling Autumn)

It's officially my favorite month of the year! When everything is changing colors, the air is cool and crisp, you can drink all the coffee you want and there's so much to explore when picking apples with friends and family. Some of my favorite movies and shows come back on, like Beetlejuice and The Walking Dead! I've already decorated the house with all of our Halloween decorations, and I can't wait to make plans for the actual holiday. Make sure to check out my Autumn board on Pinterest, where I've pinning all the other images that have me inspired for the month.

This girl is definitely the first model that piqued my interest into the whole fashion world. I remember seeing her walk the runway for Alexander McQueen, posing in editorials for Vogue and being super sweet in interviews. This model turned actress has since had a baby, but made an epic return during Milan Fashion Week this season for Prada S/S '15!!!

Love this girl and her power when she walks down the runway. She literally owns it and no one can take that from her. Her authentic look is obviously the most gorgeous part of her.

Such a beautiful face, and such a talent when it comes to fierce editorials and runway looks. I've been a huge fan of hers since I saw her walk with Burberry Prorsum, she walked one of the best outfits for Fall 2013.
